Brent Bergeron is a retired Ontario Provincial Police Detective Sergeant and Owner of Soteria Security Consulting. He is a Civilian Instructor for OPP Physical Surveillance courses and trained in Police Active Shooter response. Brent worked 25-years in specialized units investigating homicides, criminal organizations, international drug trafficking and terrorism and instructed at the Ontario Police College and OPP Academy. Cost: $68 + HST
In 2016, Brent was selected by the OPP to conduct an Operational Review,
researching a tactical response to terrorism suspects and suicide
bombers. He traveled across Canada and the United Kingdom, interviewing subject
matter experts. During his research, Brent embedded with the Metropolitan London
Police (UK) Surveillance Unit training instructors during a four-day
counter-terrorism exercise, designed to test inter-operability of all
police resources. At the conclusion of his terrorism research, Brent authored a
report for the OPP outlining training, tactical and equipment
enhancements. He then organized an educational seminar to share his
findings with specialized police officers from multiple police services.
Upon completion of this course you will have a good understanding of terrorism through real world Canadian case studies and receive a course completion certificate. You will have direct access to the instructor for specific questions while enrolled in the course.
