High profile office buildings

The highest paying security guard jobs in Ontario usually fall into one of the following categories:

-Site supervisors of a high profile or complex site involving a team of guards. Security supervisors are responsible for other guards and are classified as NOC-B in Canada.

-Higher risk sites which require guards to have a tactical vest, handcuffs and a baton that respond to frequent calls for service

-Bodyguards and close protection agents assigned to protect high net worth individuals such as CEOs and celebrities

-Security guards working at sites that have higher expectations for professionalism and deportment such as a low profile security guard at a corporate site

-In-house security at organizations that do not contract out their security guards. These positions usually require prior security experience with a post secondary diploma in a security or law enforcement related field as an asset. Even if you do not have a post secondary diploma in a related field, we would still recommend applying for in-house security positions as you may still be considered.

To start working as a security guard in one of these areas you will first need to get your security guard license.
