To get your security license in Ontario here are the minimum requirements according to the Ministry:
- you must be 18 years of age or older
- you must be eligible to work in Canada
- you must have a clean criminal record.
If you have a work permit you are eligible to work in Canada. This means if you have a work permit you can get a security guard license in Ontario. It is not mandatory to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Those on study permits may also be eligible to work in Canada under certain conditions.
