First aid training

According to the Ontario Ministry, in order to get your security guard license in Ontario you will need first aid. The minimum level required is Emergency First Aid and must include CPR. If you have a valid first aid certificate from a WSIB approved provider such as the Red Cross or St. John’s Ambulance you would just upload a copy to our course system and do not have to complete it again. A higher level than Emergency such as Standard First Aid or First Responder will also be accepted by us. The Ministry does not specify whether Level A or C is required so you can choose either option. Level C covers adult, children and infant while Level A covers adult only.

If you do not currently have a first aid certificate, we have it included in the locations listed on our homepage. You can start our online security guard course and complete the first aid afterwards. You do not need to complete the first aid training first. Ontario Security Hub is a Ministry approved security guard training provider and offers training that is more than just reading pages and pages of information. We also aim to issue all Training Completion Numbers within 24 hours of course completion.

If you have any questions on first aid requirements contact us on live chat. If you are ready to start our online security guard training, you can create an account: https://ontariosecurityhub.ca/training/login/signup.php?source=blogfirstaid
